Teen Art Studio Announces Fall Hours, New Director

The Artist Avenue Teen Arts Center starts the new school year with a new director and new after school hours.

Caroline Chauvette is the new director of the studio, which offers the use of free art supplies for teens aged 13-20. Chauvette, a commercial and residential mural artist, is the former art teacher at St. Casmir Catholic School and formerly served as arts and crafts teacher at the Latin American Center, both in Manchester.

The adult-supervised studio is located on the fourth floor of Langer Place, 55 S. Commercial St., Manchester, and will be open Monday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to  7 p.m., starting Monday, Sept. 10.

Fall activities include a silent auction of teen and donated art, art shows, acoustic music nights and guest poets.

The studio is a project of FOR MANCHESTER, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax deductible. For more information, visit formanchester.org, myspace.com/artistavenue or email formanchester@comcast.net.
