Friday, April 20, 2007 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Shaun Doherty, 860-2293 Pelham Activist Named Area GOP Vice Chairman Pelham Republican activist Shaun Doherty has been appointed to serve as Republican Area Vice Chairman by the Hillsborough County Republican Committee. The area covers Hudson, Litchfield and Pelham. Sheriff Jim Hardy is the outgoing Area Vice Chairman for the towns. Area chairs are charged with creating, encouraging and strengthening town Republican committees. Doherty, 19, is freshman at Rivier College and was a 2006 graduate of Pelham High School. He is the former Pelham Republican town chair and is the chairman of the Pelham Young Republicans. He has been active on many local, state and national political campaigns, both as a campaign consultant and volunteer.
